The North Carolina School Boards Association has invited each local school board to nominate one of its members to serve on the NCSBA Legislative Committee for the 2016 and 2017 calendar years. This committee is tasked with developing the draft biennium NCSBA legislative agenda for consideration and adoption by the Delegate Assembly, as well as reviewing ongoing legislative activity and providing guidance to the Board of Directors on legislative matters.
A memorandum from Leanne Winner containing more details and an application form are attached. Applications are due in the NCSBA offices by February 15, 2016.
If there is interest in the position, the board may make a nomination at this time.
