Twelve revised policies and one new policy from the Spring 2017 PLS updates were presented as first-read information in May. There have been no changes to the policies. Brian Weaver will request approval of the policies and answer any questions you may have.

Two policies have been revised in response to local legislation regarding board member elections and vacancies in Transylvania County. A copy of Session Law 2016-44, An Act to Change the Election Method of the Transylvania County Board of Education from Nonpartisan to Partisan, is attached. Mr. Weaver will discuss the policies and answer any questions you may have. Approval of the policies will be requested at the next regular meeting.
