Four new policies from the 4000 Series, Part A (Students) and five old policies were presented as first-read information in June. There have been no changes to the policies since that time. Brian Weaver will request action on the policies and answer any questions you may have.

A motion is in order to approve the 4 new policies from the 4000 Series and rescind the 5 old policies listed below.

Two policies have been revised in response Session Law 2016-44, An Act to Change the Election Method of the Transylvania County Board of Education from Nonpartisan to Partisan. The policies were presented as first-read information in June. No new changes have been made since then. Mr. Weaver will answer any questions you may have.

A motion is in order to approve policies 2110 and 2115 as revised.

Last fall, the board requested a list of the new policies that will require a periodic report to the board and/or the appointment of committees. The attached compilation has been prepared for the board’s review. The list will be updated as the remaining policy updates are completed over the next few months.
