On November 29, Mr. Weaver received instructions for requesting a class size waiver pursuant to G.S. 115C-301(g)(4) for classes of K-3 students taught by program enhancement teachers. Program enhancement teachers are defined as teachers who teach arts disciplines, including dance, music, theater, and the visual arts; physical education and health programs; or world languages. Requests for waivers must be received by DPI by November 30.
The class size waiver request for 2017-2018 is presented for your approval.
