The North Carolina School Boards Association Board of Directors is now accepting applications for service on its Legislative Committee for 2018. Each local school board is invited to nominate one of its members to serve as one of eight “members at large” on the committee. This is the group tasked with developing a draft legislative agenda for NCSBA for consideration and adoption by the Delegate Assembly.
A memorandum from Leanne Winner and the application form are attached. Interested individuals should be nominated through a vote of the full board taken in open session. The person who is nominated must be able to commit to attending both of the committee’s two scheduled meetings (Monday, August 27, 2018 and Monday, October 8, 2018) in Raleigh. The deadline for applications is June 15.
