Director Kerry Putnam will give an update on faciliteis.  
 
Information on the RHS football field drainage and synthetic turf vs. natural grass are attached. 
 
The contract with McGill Associates for on-call professional services is attached for your review and approval.      
 
The board may take action to approve the contract with McGill Associates, PA for on-call professional services.    
 
Rosman Elementary has been in need of a new HVAC system and has a fire code violation and does not have an appropriate fire rating roof.  To bring it up to code, a sprinkler system needs to be installed prior to being able to renovate the air side system to replace all of the 1974 AHU's and create a new VAV/ Reheat zoned system.  We need to eliminate code violations related to use of corridors as plenums and replace all lined ductwork, add sprinkler systems to eliminate code violations related to no- rated ceilings, plus replace existing chillers and boilers with a geothermal 4 pipe system.  This includes replacing the existing oil fired water heater with a geothermal heat pump and replacement of the existing AHU's in the 1999 addition and the media center.  This will allow the 1974 oil tank to be taken out of service which is not to code and needs to be replaced with a double wall tank.  The engineers recommend replacing the roof at the end of the project as it is 25 years old and there will be 60 to 80 penetrations made during the HVAC renovations.  A roof would include:
 
  • Replacing shingle roof B
  • Removing and replacing, in kind, the existing modified roof systems of C, D, E, F and G.
 
Roof Budget ---- $1,276,000.00 bringing total project to 6,731,497.00
 
An overhead view of the RES roof and a statement of probable construction cost for HVAC improvements are attached.
