Chris Whitlock will ask the Board to approve a large purchase of technology equipment that exceeds the $90,000 threshold.  As a part of the district’s regularly scheduled computer equipment refresh, the student devices at RHS and RMS will be updated with Dell Chromebooks.  A request for proposals has been issued and three vendors submitted bids.  Trinity3 Technology was the low bidder with $289 per Chromebook, including the device, charger, license, and a four-year accidental warranty.  The technology department plans to purchase 700 devices for a total cost of $202,300 plus tax.  This expenditure is a budgeted item and no additional funds are requested.  Mr. Whitlock will answer any questions you may have.

A motion is in order to approve the purchase of 700 Chromebooks from Trinity3 Technology.
