Can’d Aid Donation to BES
Can’d Aid is a nationally recognized nonprofit that rallies volunteers from all walks of life to distribute water to communities post-disaster; provide access and opportunities for underserved youth to experience music, arts and the outdoors; and protect and restore the environment. Since 2013 they have raised $6.3 million, donated over 1.9 million cans of water, recycled the equivalent of 72 million cans, donated 2,505 musical instruments, and built over 6,600 bicycles and skateboards for deserving youth. We are pleased to announce that Can’d Aid has partnered with Oskar Blues Brewery to donate 100 bicycles to Brevard Elementary School first graders! Each student who receives a bike will be fitted with a bike helmet as well. Brevard Elementary School will hold an assembly for first graders and their parents at 1:15 p.m. on December 19th to present the awards. The school is working with Can’d Aid regarding waivers and permission forms.
