TC Scholars and Memorable Educators
On May 17, Transylvania County Schools honored 179 sophomores, juniors, and seniors from Brevard High School and Rosman High School at the 35th Annual Transylvania County Scholars Recognition Evening. The celebration began with a buffet provided by the TCS School Nutrition department, which was followed by the recognition of scholars, presentation of scholarship awards, and the naming of Junior Marshals for 2018. The evening concluded with the recognition of 45 individuals who were named as “Memorable Educators” by the class of 2018. Our congratulations to all of the honorees!
Time 4 Real Science Finalists at ISEF
Congratulations to TIME 4 Real Science Students Emily Trusler, Chase Bishop and Fritz Ruppert for an outstanding showing as finalists at the 2018 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair! Special kudos to ISEF finalists John Nguyen, Matthew Bailey and Nicole Rideout who won Society for Science and the Public's Community Innovation Award AND placed 4th in Microbiology for their project, "Antimicrobial Activity of Endophytes Isolated from Transylvania County Spray Cliff Plants." A big thanks to all BHS students, teachers, parents and administrators who helped to support and prepare our ISEF finalists for competition.

Transportation Director Alan Justice will give a report on the recent safety audit conducted by the Department of Public Instruction.
