The Transylvania County Community Relations Board (CRB) was formed in 2019 to foster positive community relations and reduce real and perceived discrimination and/or bullying of any citizen. Ron Kiviniemi was appointed in March to replace Alice Wellborn as the board of education representative. The superintendent was directed to bring the names of potential candidates to fill the student vacancies on the board. Dr. McDaris will recommend Jessica Reagan Chappell (RHS) and Aubreanna Deshauteurs (BHS) to serve as the new student representatives.
A motion would be in order to appoint Jessica Reagan Chappell and Aubreanna Deshauteurs to the Transylvania County Community Relations Board.
